There has been growing concern all over the world that global warminghas been raising sea levels all over the world leading to marinetransgression and submergence of coastal lands under sea.
In contrast to this, our work in the Department of Geology of SriVenkateswara University since 1966, revealed that there has beenmarine regression all along the Coromandel coast i.e., East coast of Indiaexposing lands once under sea.
