Guiding Urban Concepts and Climate Change in Germany’s Urban Planning Practice

This study aims to specifically support the knowledge exchange between Germany’s experience and the partner cities of the CFCC project. The global project Cities Fit for Climate Change (CFCC) is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB). It forms part of the International Climate Initiative (IKI).

The high uncertainty posed by future climate change impacts needs to lead to a global effort to develop towards a sustainable future, as stated by the United Nations member states in the Agenda 2030. This report provides valuable and enriching insights into the significant topic of climate proof urban development.
